PORTLAND, Ore. – According to the Portland Police Bureau, on Sunday morning, 23, April 2023Β Β an unidentified man was discovered d*ad inside F@ntasyland, an adult business located in southeast Portland. He had been shot.
According to kptv.com, It was shortly before 10:30 in the morning when officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Southeast Foster Road and Southeast 52nd Avenue. When they arrived, they discovered a man who had already passed away.
An employee of the establishment stated that the victim was in the store on Sunday morning with a male companion. The worker reported that the victim was a frequent customer at the establishment, and his fellow employees had positive things to say about him.
βHe walked into the back arcade with some sketchy guy,β the employee said. βThey started screaming at each other. One thing led to another, and it happened really quick apparently. He was just lying there in a puddle of blood. Itβs kind of gruesome.β
The worker reported feeling scared and anxious after the shooting occurred.
“We can only work with one person at a time,” the worker stated.
He said that when the cops finally left, his manager was there by himself trying to figure out what to do next.
“For the area, it doesn’t surprise me, but I’m kind of surprised it happened,” the worker said. “Most notably at ten o’clock in the morning.”
The owner of a food cart in a pod across the street agreed with the shop worker.
John Nashlund, the owner of MoJo’s Hawaiian, said that the shooting had made him and other food cart workers talk about what they would do if a shooter showed up at their pod.

Nashlund said, “Crime has gone up in this area.” “It’s clear. I know that there aren’t enough police in the area, so we just need to be ready. We care about the safety of our customers. We want to make sure the people driving the carts are safe.”
Nashlund said that it’s getting harder and harder to run a business.
“Our hearts go out to the business owners in the area who are just trying to make a living,” he said. “We’ll pray for them tonight, and I’m sure they’ll be up and running again soon.”
