Court papers say that a 24-year-old woman from Albany is being charged with r@pe and other crimes after she left town with a 13-year-old boy earlier this month.
The boy’s mother reported him missing on April 5, saying she thought he had gone with Alyssa Kathleen Thomas from a friend’s house in Albany. The next day, cops said they heard Thomas and the boy were in Portland, Oregon, “trying to get out of state.”
Monday, police got a tip that led them to Lloyd Center Mall, where they found the woman and the boy in the food court.
Police say that Thomas is being held at Linn County Jail. The boy has been sent back to his family.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, Two teens in Portland are charged with attempted murder and other crimes after police found them with multiple weapons, ammunition, and body armor after a shooting.
