Oregon’s Gas Price History Over the Past Week

Oregons Gas Price History Over the Past Week

Last week, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) surprised the markets by announcing it would reduce oil output. In the following weeks, this change will probably affect how much it costs people to fill up their gas tanks.

In a statement released this week, AAA spokesman Andrew Gross claimed that oil prices had somewhat steadied as markets processed the news. The price of oil, he said, “the cost of oil accounts for more than 50% of what we pay at the pump, so drivers may not catch a break at the pump any time soon.”

According to figures compiled by AAA, the national average price of a gallon of gasoline was $3.58. Motorists have seen the most significant weekly gas price rises in Ohio, Delaware, and Maryland.
