A woman was shot and killed in a Hillsboro bar on Sunday morning, 2 April 2023. Police are looking into what happened.
At about 12:45 a.m., police were called to Kim’s Red Rose bar at 897 S.W. Oak Street and found a 42-year-old woman who had been shot dead. She hasn’t been named in public.

For anyone who was at Kim’s Red Rose during the incident, anyone who has information on the four people who were asked to leave, as well anyone who observed damage to their vehicle while parked in the lot.

At least four people had been asked to leave the bar, and a news release from the Hillsboro Police Department says that one of those people turned around and shot the victim before firing multiple times inside the bar.

Shots were also fired outside the bar, and detectives think that at least one of the bullets probably hit a parked car. The owners of the cars may not know they were hit, so detectives are asking anyone who parked at the bar early on Sunday to check for damage.
Det. Pat LaMonica wants anyone who was at Kim’s Red Rose when the shooting happened to call her at 503-681-6175.
