Oregon Police Confirms, 1 Dead, 3 injured from 2-vehicle Crash in Lincoln County

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon State Police say that a crash between two cars near milepost 152 in Lincoln County on Wednesday, 15 March 2023, killed one person and hurt three others.

Authorities say that Ashlee Christine Hayden, 32, of Tidewater, died at the scene around 3:30 p.m. when the car she was driving crashed into a truck by Victor Loreza, 40, of Salem.

OSP says that Hayden was driving a white Subaru Impreza WRX southbound when, for some reason, the car crossed the northbound lane. It went straight into Loreza’s white Chevy box truck.

According to KOIN News, Authorities say Loreza was driving the truck with two passengers, 38-year-old Jose Soto Hernandez of Salem and 40-year-old Jesus Vargas Gerardo of Salem. All three men were taken to hospitals because they were hurt very badly.

During the investigation, the highway was shut down for about five hours.

Investigations are still going on.
