The Portland Police Bureau opened an investigation into a shooting that occurred early Monday morning, leaving one person injured.
Officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Northeast Columbia Boulevard just after 5:30 a.m. in response to a report of a shooting that had taken place there. When police arrived, they discovered a man bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. The victim was in critical condition and was transported to a nearby hospital. It is unknown what their situation is at this time.

An Enhanced Community Safety Team member is on their way to the location. During the investigation, one of the lanes of traffic on Northeast Columbia Boulevard heading eastbound between Northeast 34th Avenue and Northeast 38th Avenue was shut down. It reopened at about eight in the morning.
