“This is a chance that comes around only once in a lifetime to ensure that all residents of Oregon have access to the internet. “It’s a chance to solve gaps that have emerged in our state where certain areas have access and others do not,” she said. “It’s an opportunity to repair gaps that have grown in our state.”

The funds were authorised under a federal infrastructure law that was finally enacted in the year 2021.
