I-84 In Eastern Oregon: Interstate 84 across eastern Oregon is again open in both directions after “very high wind conditions” and crashes triggered a closure that lasted through Thursday morning, the Oregon Dept. of Transportation reports.
Strong Winds Have An Impact On I-84 In Eastern Oregon
ODOT stated wind gusts reached 70 miles per hour in certain spots, and some trucks were swept over onto their sides. There was a delay in the availability of more details regarding particular crashes.

I-84 was closed in both directions between Exit 216, which is located east of Pendleton, and Exit 265, which is located five miles east of La Grande, because of the closure. Westbound traffic was likewise halted near Baker City and closed to trucks at Exit 374 in Ontario.
By Thursday at 11:40 a.m. PST/12:40 p.m. MST, all of the lanes that had been closed on I-84 had been reopened.

The closure of Oregon State Highway 245 for traffic is still in effect. It is open to local traffic.
