Portland Marquam Bridge: According to the Portland Police Bureau, David Belen, 48, who was hurt in a DUII accident on the Marquam Bridge on December 19 passed away as a result of his injuries on Saturday. After striking Belen, 48, in the early hours of Monday on Portland’s northbound lanes of the Marquam Bridge, a driver was taken into custody.
An Injured Man Who Was Hit on Portland Marquam Bridge Passes Away
According to Portland police, Belen was fixing a car’s mechanical problem outdoors when they were struck by another driver. Around 5:15 a.m., police rushed to the collision on northbound I-5 on the bridge where they discovered the man suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, where his injuries ultimately claimed his life.

The northbound lanes of the bridge were shut down for the remainder of the morning commute and opened again before noon on Monday. To Interstate 405 heading north, traffic was detoured.

Aldrin Roda Barraquio, 31, the suspect, was taken into custody and lodged in the Multnomah County prison on suspicion of DUI, reckless driving, and second-degree assault.
The victim was driving a pickup truck carrying a trailer, and the person accused of hitting him was driving a car, according to a later update to the police report. Initially, the incident was reported to have involved a semi-truck and a person who had been working outdoors on their automobile.
