Suspicion Of Cocaine: According to the Oregon State Police, a man was detained for allegedly being in possession of cocaine while driving on Interstate 5. The incident took place Monday afternoon.
Oregon Authorities Detain A Californian Guy On Suspicion Of Cocaine
While Heraclio Sanchez Diaz, 38, of Gerber, California was driving north on Interstate 5 at 1 in the afternoon, an officer with the Oregon State Police pulled him over because he was following too closely to the automobile in front of him. With the help of a K-9, the officer carried out a search consistent with probable cause and located a box in the trunk of the vehicle. Diaz was detained when it was discovered that the box contained six bundles of what was possibly cocaine.

An investigation was initiated by the Oregon State Police with the assistance of detectives from the Oregon State Police โ Criminal Investigations Division, special agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the office of the United States Attorney for the District of Oregon.
