Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon Discusses the Marriage Act
Merkley explained what this entails by saying, “It means that a marriage that has been conducted in any state is good in every state.” “So it isn’t the case that you get married in one state, and then you cross the border into another state and all of a sudden that state declares that no, you are not married any longer. Therefore, that is the essence of what it is capable of.”
He also mentions hedge funds and the manner in which, according to him, they have purchased a significant portion of single-family homes.
“We have seen the goal of homeownership truly be moved from ownership for families to ownership by the richest Americans,” he says. “We have seen this happen again and time again.”

In addition to that, Merkley discusses the Veterans History Project.
