Portland Teenager Shot: On Saturday evening, a young woman in her teen years was shot, and it is yet unknown how serious her injuries are.

At approximately 8:03 p.m. on Saturday, officers from the North Precinct responded to a report of shots fired on North Greeley Avenue close to Ainsworth Street.

According to the Portland Police Department’s statement, “Early information suggests the gunshot took place elsewhere, and the victim was driven to that location, where the automobile stopped to wait for police and paramedics.”

Since the evening of Friday, there have been two shootings in the city, and since Monday, there have been three shootings involving teenagers.

After 5 o’clock on Friday evening, a 15-year-old boy was badly injured after being shot many times in the Argay Terrace area on Northeast 133rd Avenue near Prescott Drive. The incident occurred on Friday.

Two students who had just finished their day at Jefferson High School and were driving home in a car on Monday were subjected to gunfire as they drove near North Killingsworth and Haight Avenue around 3:30 p.m. One of the students was struck in the shoulder by one of the bullets that were fired at them. Within the last month, this is the second gunshot that has taken place outside of the school.

There have been no reports of any arrests being made in connection with any of these recent shootings.

There have been at least 1,100 shootings reported so far in the month of October, according to statistics provided by the Portland Police Bureau. This year, on average, there have been more than one hundred people shot in the city each and every month. In 2021, there were more than 1,300 reported shootings over the entirety of the city.
