As National Drive Electric Week draws near, Pacific Power is helping its customers make the switch to electric vehicles by offering worthwhile incentives.
For those wishing to ditch their petrol tank, Pacific Power offers rebates on newly released home charging equipment, discounts on the cost of power for car charging, and a broader selection of EV infrastructure.
The total cost of ownership for an EV is currently less than that of a gas-powered vehicle over the course of a car’s life, “Kate Hawley, senior product manager at Pacific Power, stated.
The following incentives are available to drivers of electric vehicles:
- Depending on their income level, residential Pacific Power customers may receive $500 to $1,000 toward the installation of an at-home charger.
- Owners of commercial and multifamily properties (apartment buildings) may receive up to $3,000 per port.
- Additionally, we provide substantial savings on electricity through a program called Time of Use for EV drivers.
We have already invested more than $2.5 million in electric car mobility for Oregon communities, particularly in underserved and rural areas. With the aid of Pacific Power E-Mobility Grants, localities in Corvallis, Prineville, Bend, and Portland were able to buy electric bikes, tractors, school buses, and chargers for their towns. Additionally, we’ve put fast charging stations in Bend, Madras, Otis, and Mill City.
“We are increasing consumer access to EV ownership and use by expanding the charging infrastructure inside our service zone, according to Hawley.

The purpose of National Drive Electric Week is to increase public knowledge of the advantages of hybrid and electric automobiles, trucks, and motorbikes. The 12th-anniversary event is held from September 23 to October 2. The Sierra Club, Plug In America, Electric Vehicle Association, and EVHybridNoire are the organizations behind it.
