Harrisburg Man Pleads Guilty In 2021 Camp Hill Pool Shooting (Hillsboro News)

In connection with a shooting that injured one person at the Camp Hill Borough Pool in Christian Siebert Memorial Park last year, a Harrisburg man entered a guilty plea on Tuesday to a charge of attempted homicide.

The shooting, which took place on June 28, 2021, was charged against Edwin Ruben Sosa Jiminez, 24, in August of last year.

Prosecutors claimed that Jiminez traveled from Harrisburg to the Camp Hill Borough Pool that day to confront the victim about a disagreement. Jiminez fired six shots at the victim during the escalating altercation, at least one of which grazed the victim’s skull.

According to police, Jiminez then left the area. The victim had minor wounds and was discharged from the hospital the same evening as the incident.

After a month-long investigation by the Camp Hill Borough Police Department and the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office, with some assistance from other law enforcement agencies, Jiminez was located and later detained.

Jiminez will receive his sentencing from Judge Christylee Peck on September 13.
