After Bruce Wayne’s death, players take control of one of four characters (Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, or Batgirl) in an open-world version of Gotham City. The game can be played either by themselves or in a cooperative mode with a second player.
Patrick Redding, who was previously in charge of directing Splinter Cell titles Conviction and Blacklist, is currently serving as the creative director for Gotham Knights, which is being developed by WB Games Montreal.
The release was supposed to take place in the previous year, but it was pushed back so that the developers could have “more time to deliver the best possible experience for players.” The Gotham Knights will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers on October 25, 2022.
In May, Warner announced that it would not be releasing the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Gotham Knights, despite the fact that these versions had previously been announced. The company stated that it wanted to “provide players with the best possible gameplay experience.”
