Originally from Hawaii, American actor Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa was born on August 1, 1979. The recurring role of Jason Loane on Baywatch: Hawaii (1999–2001) marked his acting debut; subsequent roles included Ronon Dex on Stargate Atlantis (2005–2009) and Khal Drogo in the first two seasons of Game of Thrones (2011–2012) on HBO, Declan Harp on Frontier (2016–2018) on Discovery Channel, and Baba Voss on See (2019–present) on Apple TV+.

In the two most recent series, Momoa played the main character. On August 1, 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Momoa was born to Coni (Lemke) and Joseph Momoa, both artists. He is their only child. His mother was of German and Irish descent, and his father was of Native Hawaiian descent.

Β According to the California Highway Patrol, actor Jason Momoa was behind the wheel of a car that collided with a motorbike early on Sunday morning near Topanga, sending the rider to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The CHP claimed in an accident report that a man named Vitaliy Avagimyan, 21, of Tarzana, crossed the center line on Old Topanga Road shortly after 11 a.m. and drove “straight into the path of Jason Momoa’s car,” a 1970 Oldsmobile.

The CHP further said that “Mr. Avagimyan was ejected from his motorbike as a result of this accident.”

The 42-year-old Momoa reportedly supported Avagimyan until an ambulance brought him to Northridge Hospital for treatment of “minor, non-life threatening injuries.”

Star of “Game of Thrones” and “Dune” Momoa escaped injury.
