Williams Oregon News: On Saturday night around the Williams, a Southern Oregon man who shot a suspected thief and is being booked with a Second-Degree charge for attempting murder.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Stated that his office attendants received a report of gunfire and an overspeeding car on Thompson Creek Road, the north side of 6000 blocks, on Saturday before 10 p.m.
The wounded man being shot reached a house and knocked on the door on the 17000 block of Highway 238. The resident informed the police about the injured person immediately. The police informed the media 45 minutes later.

After receiving the report, Oregon State Police Josephine County Sheriff’s Office took quick action and send an immediately a Mercy Flights ambulance and referred an injured person to the local hospital for treatment.
As per the Police at that time, the shooting man informed the police and said he shot a man who allegedly stole items from his property and blocked the traffic on Thompson Creek Road.
The 64-year-old shooter, Douglas Brinton Walker, is an inhabitant of Williams, Oregon, and was arrested by police later and detained at the Jackson County Jail. The accused is charged with first-degree assault, unlawful weapon use, and second-degree attempted murder.
We got information about the victim, who was shot three times by the suspected man while driving a car on a public road. His treatment is going on at the local hospital and is feeling better after the surgery. After scanning her body, the man was diagnosed with a shot in his stomach, confirmed by the doctors.
The media asked Jackson County Sheriff’s Office about the charges against the victim, we want confirmation from the police which charges will be applied to the victim for the theft. They said we are investigating and collecting all the necessary information, whether he had stolen the items from his property or not. Multiple agencies are investigating this case. After the proper verification, they will inform the media after two-three days.
