Ladies of all ages enjoyed an afternoon of music, snacks, and fashion in Hillsboro on Saturday at the Hillsboro Senior Center. The center’s board conducted a very successful tea and style show fundraiser.

β€œWe sold 115 seats through word of mouth,” said board member Betty Seibel. β€œIt takes a lot of money to keep this place going so the money we raised from ticket sales will really help us out.”

Many local sites were engaged to help out with the occasion. Kathy’s Floral donated the floral arrangements and the tea was furnished by Rhubarb Market. Local Hillsboro women Kate Maxfield, Jess Dalke, Cheyenne Funk, and Kailee Funk strutted the runway in West Main Company’s most recent creations. Local senior Bev Richards had two of her students play piano to offer background music for the guests while they drank tea and had goodies provided by Barkman Honey.
