At the Hillsboro Senior Center Ladies Tea and Style Show on Saturday, Kate Maxfield and Cheyenne Funk wore clothes from Marion’s West Main Company. The event was a successful fundraiser the centerβs board staged.
A piano student of Bev Richard’s played for the women at the Hillsboro Senior Center Ladies Tea and Style Show on Saturday while they enjoyed Rhubarb Market tea, Barkman Honey snacks, and Kathy’s Floral floral arrangements. The center’s board of directors staged successful fundraising with this event.
Women of all ages met to enjoy tea from Rhubarb Market, snacks from Barkman Honey, floral arrangements from Kathyβs Floral, and a fashion display featuring clothing from West Main Company in Marion at the Hillsboro Senior Center Ladies Tea and Style Show on Saturday. The event was a successful fundraiser the centerβs board staged.
Ladies of all ages enjoyed an afternoon of music, snacks, and fashion in Hillsboro on Saturday at the Hillsboro Senior Center. The centerβs board conducted a very successful tea and style show fundraiser.
βWe sold 115 seats through word of mouth,β said board member Betty Seibel. βIt takes a lot of money to keep this place going so the money we raised from ticket sales will really help us out.β
Many local sites were engaged to help out with the occasion. Kathyβs Floral donated the floral arrangements and the tea was furnished by Rhubarb Market. Local Hillsboro women Kate Maxfield, Jess Dalke, Cheyenne Funk, and Kailee Funk strutted the runway in West Main Company’s most recent creations. Local senior Bev Richards had two of her students play piano to offer background music for the guests while they drank tea and had goodies provided by Barkman Honey.

Board members who worked hard to carry together the event were Betty Seibel, Joyce Barkman, Sandy Bartel, Caryl Wiebe, Billie Goossen, Donna Dalke, Sharon George, Wada Dush, and Diane Eston.
βOur next fundraiser event will be on August 6 for Bob Delkβs 100th birthday. We will be deciding at our next board meeting exactly what we are doing so stay tuned,β stated Seibel.
