His signature appearance features his green-tinted glasses and two pink antennae situated just above each ear, which serve the role of restricting his power. As the primary character and the tale is nearly driven by his narrative, Kusuo is a completely rounded character that changes throughout the course of the series.

When he was a kid, Kusuo was more vulnerable to his feelings. There were also times when he didn’t know what his talents performed, such as the time he accidentally broke an arcade game of Whack-A-Mole and thought the machine was commending him.Β  When he teleported, he made his parents search for him for five hours, and he never thought twice about smiling around others. However over the course of time, with having to hide his psychic powers from others and his abilities increasingly spoiling situations for him, he started to seal himself up.

Thus, in the present, Kusuo is reticent. In fact, he prefers to communicate with others through the use of telepathy because he dislikes being the center of attention. He is quiet and reclusive and rarely speaks out loud. For him, avoiding social situations means making other people uninterested in him or avoiding them altogether. For example, Kusuo hides from the other characters in the bathroom, and Kusuo talks to Imu, knowing Kokomi would not appreciate it.

Despite this, Kusuo is exceptionally excellent at recognizing what others want and executing plans based on them. He was able to single-handedly elevate Chiyo’s favourability of Takeru from 54 to 95 and to raise Reita’s of Arisu to 98 on a whim.

Kusuo is a selfless person who is prepared to put others’ needs ahead of his own. For the sake of not spoiling the fun for the other characters, Chisato sacrificed his coffee jelly in order to return a baseball and he preferred to let his father be him rather than interfere with Kokomi’s plans by sending Chisato to Okinawa.

He dislikes being a burden or owing favors to others in part because of this personality feature. Every time he assists Kineshi, he feels guilty about keeping his powers a secret from his mother.Β  Kusuo is likewise careful to never degrade or criticize his acquaintances in their faces. Those who know him wellβ€”including Kusuo himselfβ€”consider him a tsundere because of these traits and his guarded demeanor.

Aiura Mikoto

Aiura Mikoto is a soothsayer and oracle in Japanese mythology. She’s another one of Kusuo’s flings, and she and Reita have a running feud. Mikoto is one of the few non-family persons that know about Kusuo’s powers along with Reita and Touma.

Like Reita, Mikoto openly exposes her psychic skills to everyone and became popular in her class because of them. She has an uninformed sense of justice and wants to utilize her skills for good and to benefit people, which she believes separates herself from Kusuo. She will promptly and openly utilize her skills to help those who ask her, compared to Kusuo, who is more cautious and puts more consideration into his actions. Due to her easygoing demeanor, she seems to have earned the favor of Kusuo’s grandma, Kumi, when the two coincidentally met in the gyaru shopping mall.

Teruhashi Kokomi

There are many characters in the series named Kokomi Teruhashi, but the most well-known is Teruhashi Kokomi. She is a student in Saiki Kusuo’s class and she is considered incredibly gorgeous by both ladies and men, who often stop and gaze upon seeing her. She was played by Hashimoto Kanna in the live-action film of the series.

When Kokomi was originally presented, she was revealed to be exceedingly egotistical and a gold digger.Β  As the most popular girl in school, she is incredibly gregarious. She’s slick with words, so she’s able to manipulate and persuade just about anyone with her charm and good looks.

Being flirted on and experiencing extreme reactions is typical for her, hence when Saiki Kusuo was not astonished or starstruck by her attractiveness she was bewildered as to why. With this rationale, along with her stubbornness and pride, she started to pursue Kusuo until she truly falls for him

Kaidou Shun

Shun Kaidouis characterized by his classmates as a chuunibyou. Self-proclaimed The Jet-Black WingsΒ  Shun claims that the world and its events are supervised and controlled by an Evil Organization called The Dark Reunion. He is an outcast among his class and likes to show off, but he often becomes cowardly in difficult situations. When push comes to shove, however, he will endanger himself for those he cares about.Β  Shun is one of the main characters of the series. In the film adaptation, Yoshizawa Ryo performed the role.

Shun used to be bashful in middle school, and he had no friends at all. Once he began attending PK Academy, he started modifying his demeanor with the objective of becoming adult-like. However, he developed a chuunibyou-type personality. He acts confident and conceited at school, lying about being incredibly powerful and talking about how an evil organization called The Dark Reunion is after him and controlling the Earth in hopes that other students will think he’s cool, this is well known to put him in danger on occasion such as when he told his friends that he lead the rally against Saiko and panicked when Saiko was behind him hearing his story and threatening to punish Kaidou, another moment was when he lied to his younger-brother Toki about his power and control of a town but panicked when Toki announces it to a nearby thug, despite this Kaidou never seems to learn from these mistakes.

He frequently tries to win over Saiki and the others with his antics. However, while feeling hopeless or when around his domineering mother, he acts like a typical teenager. Despite his best efforts, he has just a small circle of close friends and is something of an outcast at school. He claims to be courageous, yet when presented with danger he is terrified and retreats. He is physically quite weak and is poor at sports and physical activities in general. He also cannot swim.

Saiki Kusuke

Kusuke Saiki is Kusuo’s older brother, a super genius who likes to invent machines/devices. He is 2 years older than Kusuo.

When it comes to Kusuo, Kusuke is conceited and aggressive. He would have done anything to win against him when they were kids. He would, however, consistently come up short against his younger brother. Thus, he grew addicted to playing/fighting with Kusuo. Kusuke is a sadist, as evidenced when he loved seeing Kusuo, Shun, and Riki being chased by throngs of people. Kusuke can be conceited and self-centered when it comes to his feelings for Kusuo. This is best seen when he created a time machine to go back 20 years in the past when Kusuo was still living (in this chapter, they were in a parallel reality where Kusuo had died and when he made Kokomi cry by claiming that she and Kusuo were not fit for each other.

Additionally, he’s dishonest, always flashing their parents a cherub-like grin. Like Kusuo, he pays little attention to his father. Kusuo always assumed that Kusuke despised him, but Kusuke clarified this and told Kusuo that he merely liked to tease him.

Nendou Riki

Riki Nendou is a diligent and dull-witted boy. He likes assisting people and favoring the weak. Riki is one of the key characters of the series and was starred by Arai Hirofumi in the live-action of the series.

Riki’s dominating qualities are his seeming lack of intelligence and the scar on his left eye. Because of his features, he is sometimes perceived as a bad character. He can be classified as a very strong young man since he can easily defeat Hairo in every element of physical activities and sports.Β  Only Riki’s thoughts can’t be read by Saiki Kusuo. As a result, he is frequently an idiot with lousy manners who need repeated explanations of seemingly simple concepts.

Toritsuka Reita

A Spirit Medium, Toritsuka Reita is the second character to be presented in the manga and anime. He was moved to PK Academy’s second grade.

Reita is a pervert and would do anything simply to make girls fall for him. He oversexualizes women’s bodies and pursues the women he is interested in. He, too, was endowed at birth with unexplainable abilities. Those talents are the abilities to see, talk to, be possessed by ghosts, and most recently demonic possession. Reita utilizes his talents in selfish ways, such as asking ghosts to his bidding, such as looking at what color the underwear a girl is wearing.

He also appreciates the attention that he received after using his powers on the first day he moved to PK Academy. Like Kaidou and the others, Reita learned about Kusuo’s abilities via a ghost, and he longs to befriend him despite the fact that the latter generally ignores him. Also, Reita has admitted to being envious of Kusuo’s abilities, particularly the ability to see right through people. He’s also open and honest enough to tell Kusuo why he wants his psychic abilities. However, he is shown to be quite faithful and doing things as directed normally, but he usually blunders these chores.

Kuboyasu Aren

Only Kusuo, Shun, and Touma are aware that Aren Kuboyasu was once a troublemaker at his old school. Kaku Kento played the role of Aren, one of the series’ central characters, in the series’ live-action adaptation.

  • Personality
  • Like a normal delinquent, aside from being powerful and getting called into fights, Aren is quick-tempered when someone is being rude to him. When he first arrived at PK Academy, he struggled to keep his temper under control. When he’s angry, he’ll take hold of anything in his path and hurl it towards the person he’s made with (Takahashi was nearly killed by him, just because they brushed shoulders). When Aren is angry or opposing someone, he will make a diabolical look, which frightens them. He is nonetheless, naive and infantile when the talk is about motorbikes. He is willing to assist individuals in need, such as Shun and Kusuo, with their attempts to obtain a driver’s license, even going so far as to accompany them on their test day. Aren’s bizarre behavior is due to his reluctance to sit down in other people’s homes. Later on, he is shown to be calm and collected when talking to other.
